About the Camp
The Medicine Hat Family YMCA acquired a camp in the Spring of 2006 in Elkwater. It was formally known as the United Church "Camp Okonoki." The YMCA has now changed the name to YMCA Camp Elkwater. The YMCA is dedicated to making a positive life long impression for all campers that attend. The environment allows for all campers to make the best of their week participating in games, water sports, and other outdoor experiences. All of the weeks at YMCA Camp Elkwater include a variety of water based and land based activities. Some of the Water based activities are:
